Revurank is a review tool for local businesses, run from Toronto, Canada. This page explains what we collect on this website, why, and how to have it removed.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect:
- Your name, work email, business name and type of business
- The date you signed up, and confirmation that you asked to hear from us about Revurank’s launch
To stop spam, we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for up to one hour. We can’t use it to identify you, and it is deleted automatically.
If analytics are turned on, we also collect anonymous usage data, such as which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked. See “Analytics” below.
How we use it
- To email you when your Revurank account is ready, and to honour your founding-member price
- To send occasional product updates before launch, which you can stop at any time
- To understand how people use this website so we can improve it
We never sell your information, and we never share it with other companies for their marketing.
Your consent
By submitting the waitlist form, you agree to receive emails from Revurank about our launch and product. This follows Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every email we send explains how to unsubscribe, and you can withdraw consent at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or emailing hello@revurank.com.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics and PostHog to measure visits and signups. These services set cookies or similar storage in your browser and process data on our behalf. You can block them with your browser’s privacy settings or a content blocker, and the site will still work.
Where it’s stored and for how long
Waitlist signups are stored on our hosting provider’s servers (Hostinger) and are not publicly accessible. We keep your information until you ask us to delete it, or until 24 months after launch if you don’t become a customer, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email hello@revurank.com and we’ll respond within 30 days, as required by Canada’s privacy law (PIPEDA).
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we’ll email people on the waitlist.
